Delivery Driver
Best suited for: Military experienced candidates are highly encouraged to apply; Great for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience; A good fit for applicants with gaps in their resume, or who have been out of the workforce; Open to degree seeking students; Perfect for someone looking to feel appreciated in the workplace.
Job Duties
Loading the delivery vehicle with daily packages.
Heavy lifting (lifting packages over 25 lb.).
Successfully delivering to commercial locations.
Successfully delivering to residential locations.
Scanning/photographing packages, entering required info into a handheld device (i.e. the Rabbit).
Safely use of in-van navigation program while driving the route to locate FedEx customer delivery points.
A team-first attitude as Delivery Associates (DAs) may be called upon to assist with other DAs who may be bogged down or who have fallen behind on their route schedules ("Rescue Routes").
Qualifications
Independent problem solver who is passionate about customer service.
Able to lift packages (up to 50 lbs.)
Able to get in and out of a van numerous times throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be at least 21 years of age, with a valid driver’s license.
Consent to records check.
Team player
Drug free
Safe driving record.
Commercial (or work-related) driving experience is a plus, but not necessary.
